S'pore Flyer trip that's supposed to be today is cancelled. They blamed it on "agent marked up the price to double" but sources tell me, they never even paid any deposit! How can the event go on rite? Biasalah, kalau nak tutup malu. But its a blessing in disguise too. I have this HORRIBLE sore throat, hopefully its nothing serious. Been drinking tea with honey as much as possible..

MacD meal wif Sonia and Kaj last saturday after work.. I had that heavenly cinammon melts that Suzyee mentioned. HEAVENLY...sinfully sweet but soooooo heavenly...
And later that evening, I went to MacD again with Hyum this time, but before that to get her clips and stuf. I had a McCafe frappe instead but it tasted too thick, so exchanged it with Hyum's armpit-tasting Iced Milo instead. I have no idea why it tasted so armpit-y. Eeeeuuuw.
All dolled up for Dol's wedding behind my house. Was expecting so much goodies, ever since Uckle told us about their menu for the garden party!

Desserts from their garden party menu - eclairs and cream puffs! YUMMY!!!
Their arabic feast buffet line. Sausages! Hummus! Feta cheese!! See that shaky hand on the right? Mama was about to spill that bottle of olive oil - caught her in the act! Hahahaa..

The story behind this : Hyum put on that songkok for Wal - the gift was from one of Papa's student. Papa saw him wear and told him he can keep it. Hence, this made-up pose for the camera. Hehehe.

Went to JB yesterday - B needed to fix something at HV. Achap was there, so we had a meal together afterwards...at Marrybrown, where else!

At Marrybrown. We tried their Chick-a-licious instead of our usual Lucky Plate. It tasted soooo good with the mushroom sauce. Achap had his with Black Pepper sauce, and claimed he'll be coming back for more chicken next time.. It's no wonder why Marrybrown is my favourite chicken joint, other than Arnold's! :)
Bought groceries at My Store after that - and bought the Maggi Kari Letup that Myra was talking about. Can't wait to try it! Thanks for the tip, Myra!

Akhirnya....aku julang bendera putih. Tiada apa lagi yang boleh diharapkan di tempat ni. Korang tak suka aku, hey, aku pon tak suka korang, ok? Terperap disini hanya kerana untuk duit & masa depan. Sekarang, tiba masanya. Gi belah ah korang!
MJ's date of death will always be a painful reminder to me. Why? Its the day I lost my handphone - during the cab jouney home after karaoke. Selamat tinggal, Sexy Red E63 with Prada charm. Damn, I LOVED that phone, man! Sayang, bukan rezeki. I spent a mere $98 on the phone but $170 on the charm. Hati siapa tak sakit??
The substitute. Without that black silicone sock, of course.
The wednesday after(meaning after 4 days), ditimpa balak lagi bila my Coach wristlet along with cash & atm card went missing. I remember putting in my bag coz it'll sure drop somewhere if I hold it in my hands. How wrong. Dalam bag pon boleh kena curi! There was a train delay that made more than half of the platform SUPER-PACKED. I could feel the person behind me breathing down my neck! I was sooo pissed about my loss(not to mention, panic) as I was supposed to transfer cash for B, but ended up frantically searching my bag at the mrt station for 15 minutes! I finally surrendered to reality, that it will never be found.. I'm sooo angry; I spent $235 on that wristlet! Takkan halalkan pencuri of the phone and the wallet, dunia dan akhirat!
I never thought twice about this man, even laughed at him as news spurned creepy stories about him, his behaviour, his nose. The people who made fun of him in their shows like South Park(have you seen my wishing tree..LOL), Family Guy('but the adult in me likes the kid in me'), Eminem's Just Lose It and many others. But until the day he died, it made the world mourn for a legend. I heard the news from Ria 89.7fm, during Fiza's show. She had read out a listener's sms, which read "I feel very sad; Michael Jackson was my childhood."
How right that gal has been. Looking back, I remember listening his hits from my Chai Chee house, Tampines house and current Eunos house. My mum was a fan and had his old records, that used to spin on our turntable. I remember listening to his album on the flight's radio during my umrah trips(as he was one of the hottest artists then). In 1996 when I was 14, Michael had released his HIStory album. I had a classmate who named himself Michael coz he was a big fan(his real name? Yong Wei..haha). This Micheal would always be moonwalking in class, standing on the table to do his moves, and even performed the moves for Teacher's Day. I remember waking up whenever the radio played "They Don't Care About Us" coz I loved the beat, and I had its lyrics in my Smash Hits magazine to sing along too. I remember going to Batam with my uncle's family(he had a house there) and we went for a karaoke session in the evening - my brother who was only 8, sang MJ's Black or White. MJ came to S'pore in 1993, when I was 11. I wasn't a huge fan but I remember envying a fellow classmate Huijian, whose parents brought her to the concert.
Those were the days; since then Michael just got into more and more controversies. He got creepier, he got weirder. His child-bearing tactics, baby-dangling, court cases, wearing the abaya in Dubai in the female loo, and converting to Islam! Wallahua'lam. He just wasn't the hero he used to be anymore. No matter what, his contributions made him a legend and made an impact of what our musicians have today. I can't do the moonwalk still, I had just bought my first album with you as the singer. Peace out. RIP, Michael.

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!
AND THANK GOD I'M ON HALF DAY LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!
After many months of not taking leave(ever since I got married, to be exact), I was informed by HR to clear my 0.5 day leave. So I'm going Vivo, and will be meeting Hubby smelly dearie there to watch.........
This is his favourite movie. So we'll be watching it. Yay Yay, Vivo here I come...the last time I went there was....Chindianyu Christmas 2007..? Gasp!

My hectic weekend has now ended. Now is the aftermath that needs me to catch up on my sleep - pronto!
On friday, I had to go to Bedok Reservoir straight after work. Why? Coz Sabby is so sweet; Aku baru je eksen sket kalau beliau sudi pass laksa kat sini sket via Facebook. Tup tup, dia kata dah ketepikan laksa and "please self collect kat umah aku". Chewah! In return I gave her SSC cheesecakes. Glad she loves them! :)
Sabby's laksa! FYI, it was eaten not only by me & Noy. Nenek dia serta sedara-mara pun jamah juga :)
Sab included these swiss rolls in the food bag. I got the chocolate roll! Heheh.
Next was to Pasir Ris....for preparations for dearie Noy's engagement! I was there to lend a hand the day before..why? Coz we made DIY berkats for bunga rampai and kiddies berkats. Love it!

Bunga rampai cones, with potpourri that smells very much like nenek-nenek. Betol, tak bedek! It was supposed to be Marks & Spencers Lavender scent! (Sorry Noy..heheh)

Sick. sick, sick. Everyone is sick! Started with Naynay who had the flu for a near two weeks. Followed by Atin. Then Ayi. Then Hubby. And now me!

Yesterday we went to have dinner at B's fren Azmi's stall in ITE Simei Canteen 1. I had chicken only(no carbs! Heheh). Him and the guys lepak there til quite late(his was the last kedai yang tutup!). Apparently they have a VIP's bbq to attend so B dropped me off home first. But before that, Azmi approached us to ask if we were interested in perfumes. Tengok punye tengok, I decided on Tommy Hilfiger True Star and generously my baby paid for it :)))
Thank you B, I smell like Beyonce now :P
Balik umah, I went to kish-kish my pet Ayi. Lama betol tak huggie2 dia.

Last two sunday nights, B had to go fix the car with fwens so I was left pretty much alone..Parents out, siblings out, everybody out except Hyum...so since she was bored, we went to Hei Sushi together..yay!

Yahm ordered the kiddie meal..bila sampai makanan terus kena marah coz its for kids only. Booo...
On the friday of that week, Naynay had brought me karaokeing again wif the same kakis..yeah!! Three roses and one Khai..hahaha.
As she sings, I took a pic of this whole room..complete dengan glass table and disco light! (Disco disco, gooood good...)

We went to the branch at Cuppage this time...and was surprised to know that its 2 floors down but $20 more mahal!!! We prefer that place beside Hard Rock any day, baybeh..but without the pretty glass table of course..Hahaa.. Girls, I had a blast even though we had to leave early.. Can't wait for the next session..Melalak sampai puas!!!

Saturday - the excursion to Science Centre with the club. Ours was a small group - and Hazel forgot to book a guide! We can't call her either since she's in her mainland Phillippines..So we made do with splitting into 3 small groups.

We left for Imax Theatre at 3.15 to view the 4pm Sea Monsters show. It was really "dizzy-fying" seeing the dome shaped screen + skipping dinner + mabuk gilerrrr seeing so many people. We left the place at 5, reaching SSC at 5.30 as promised. We went home straight by cab, takleh tahan beb! Slept like a log once settled on my bed :)
We passed by our old school on the way to watch Night of the Museum 2 yesterday..
That used to be the old science block(which, when I was a student, it was a new building built in 1997)
Dia pon sempat selit..depan the primary school's construction.
The management probably thought its a good idea to combine both primary & secondary schools together. I was from both schools and as much as I loathe the studying, pressure, cliques etc in sec school, I find all the moments worthwhile and entertaining. Even if it means I had to stand in front of the whole bloody class for an hour for not excelling in my Geography test..Kwang kwang kwang.. Apa pon, we both missed the original park & old gate exit from both schools. For him, it was his route home. Foe me its was my route home in pri sch and my "cabut" route home & the way to PE's 2.4km for sec school... Those were the days... :)
After that, its a visit to my inlaws..

Finally made my mark to Balcony!
We had light dinner + drinks there. I had my favie Pussyfoot that Papa always says its "nice". It's Fruit Punch + milk, mestilah niiiice. We had this drunk guy trying to be friends and getting fresh...pretty freaky. We stayed alert and made a hasty exit upon finishing our chitty-chatty, photo-moto session.

Saturday - the excursion to Science Centre with the club. Ours was a small group - and Hazel forgot to book a guide! We can't call her either since she's in her mainland Phillippines..So we made do with splitting into 3 small groups.

We left for Imax Theatre at 3.15 to view the 4pm Sea Monsters show. It was really "dizzy-fying" seeing the dome shaped screen + skipping dinner + mabuk gilerrrr seeing so many people. We left the place at 5, reaching SSC at 5.30 as promised. We went home straight by cab, takleh tahan beb! Slept like a log once settled on my bed :)
We passed by our old school on the way to watch Night of the Museum 2 yesterday..
That used to be the old science block(which, when I was a student, it was a new building built in 1997)

The management probably thought its a good idea to combine both primary & secondary schools together. I was from both schools and as much as I loathe the studying, pressure, cliques etc in sec school, I find all the moments worthwhile and entertaining. Even if it means I had to stand in front of the whole bloody class for an hour for not excelling in my Geography test..Kwang kwang kwang.. Apa pon, we both missed the original park & old gate exit from both schools. For him, it was his route home. Foe me its was my route home in pri sch and my "cabut" route home & the way to PE's 2.4km for sec school... Those were the days... :)
After that, its a visit to my inlaws..
