Overdue updates.

Sarah is now 8 months old. No teeth yet. Poops alot. Wears L size pampy for 2 months already. Sits on her own, crawls and stands in her cot like babies do. And superclingy!

She says you guys only deserve to see her butt at this point of time.

Haha! :D

Sarah turns 3months old nex week!

So what has my baby been up to during her second month in life? She's been smiling and smiling andddddd....superclingy! I thought she was okay til today. She slept in my arms but once I place her on the bed she'd be fussing on and about, and wake up. But the good thing now is, there's no more 11pm-3am playtime for Sarah. She has "upgraded" to sleeping all the way from 3-7am and after having her 4once of shushu at 7am, she'll continue sleeping til noon, or sometimes all the way til 3pm! Which gives me enough sleep and extra time to do some chores. But if I have my hands full with her, B is there to help. Cuci botol, jaga anak, bacakan anak magazine, tukarkan pampers. Kan suami contoh tu. Feewwwiiiitss!

Last 2 weeks, I brought Sarah to the playground with Naynay & the boys, and my mum. But it was for 30min den we left. Too many FT kids conquering the slides! Irritating seh. I think the boys were the only locals then. It kinda make me miss my childhood days in the playground in Chai Chee(rumah Nenek). Back then, FT ni semua mana ada. Even if ada budak2 dajal, takdelah seteruk budak2 FT ni yg dahlah degil, sepatah melayu or english pon tak paham. Whadddeehhheellll.

Ada aje muka dia. Mostly she likes to frown! Even the boss of First Lady noticed that masa I gi kedai tu to buy me & Hyum baju raya a few days ago. Ouh! Will upload baju raya pic soon. Baju this year sama colour as last year and the year before, but only this time Sarah can join in too with her cute Burberry bubble romper. Wheee!!!

Sarah in her bucket seat. This was taken when we had a 'family trip' to Joo Chiat, Marine Parade post office and Kallang. Joo Chiat to buy minyak telon then to the post office to send a surprise package for my lovely ex-colleague Ira, who's due soon. She's expecting a boy, and since I have alot of boys' socks and mitts at hand(all from sis...sayang seh nak buang coz still new!), I gave her as a pressie along with 2 bottles of minyak telon.

Last week I was looking high and low for a diaper stacker. It was damn messy seeing opened packages on the floor; I like it to be kept away, neat & tidy. I went to PP with Sarah the siamang & Mum to find it.

Si Mothercare out of stock, Kiddy Palace pon sama tapi boleh place order. Worse, harga satu is between $56-$60. HUH!! Sungguh tak worth it for a piece of cloth. Nak beli online plak, it'll take weeks for it to arrive. Desperate for one, I made myself using kain belen that my mum bought from Spotlight 16 years ago.

Hasilnya..tadaaa!! Even though segalanya dijahit dengan tangan sakti saya ini, nothing beats the satisfaction of seeing my room so neat, diapers in place!

Sarah no longer stays awake from 11pm - 3am. She's been obedient nowadays, sleeping from 12am - 8am, drink her milky, den continue till noon. Which gives Mummy ample rest. Yay! Butttt...because of that, my whole body's alarm clock has been jumbled up. I can't sleep til 3am, so much that I had to count sheep.

While waiting for myself to get sleepy, I did this. Tak ku sangka anak aku masih bangun and sempat nak masuk dlm gambar skali.

Last week while grocery shopping with my Papa, I bought this. $11.95 aje!

I wanted to touch up on the streaks after still having rusty streaks as highlights. Palty didn't do as great as last time. Anyway, this Ex-Hi Bleach is superstrong! So much that I overblonded my hair at some point.

When it's all straightened, it looks nice. But when tied up into a ponytail, I can be mistaken for a minah. Eeeekk!! But at least this time, Gatsby did it the way i want. Cuma sayang je, the hair at the back area tak menyerlah sangat. So only blondie at most of the front but not so at the back. Ah takpelah. For now :P

Sarah's firsts!

Today was Sarah's :

1) first trip in a bus

2) first trip with Aunties Terrible Twins

3) first trip to Bedok Point

4) first trip to Popeyes, one of her Mummy's fave chicken joint! :P

So...why were we in Bedok? I went to my usual optical shop(super cheap, only in Bedok!) to collect my new *flashy* Pradas after placing an order 2 days ago to insert prescribed lenses. I bought them here after discovering how cheap they're selling. You see, I had sold my other Pradas to sis Nurzy(thanks, babe!) coz I was planning to buy a larger sized one(to fit my fatty wide face...naturally). I stumbled the page on google and thank God, they have a dot.sg site for us(woohoo!).

I tried on the specs when I tagged along Hyum 3 months ago to Pavilion Optical @ PP, and they fit perfectly, so I took a good look at the size and yup...54-16. The cost? $480 excluding lenses. Very well. So imagine my shock when I saw the price offered at smartbuy - $217.90 excluding shipping! Apalagi, grab laa! Many many thanks to Sc and her "Abg Jas". And when I made my prescribed lenses, it was only $35! Superduper cheap!!

Anyway back to my cerita, we went to Bedok to collect my Pradas. Then off we went to Popeyes!

Sarah slept the whole time we were out, which to me, was a blessing. Camne lah nak handle kalau budak merengek, kan? After that, we went to Watsons to buy my barang-barang.

Olay 7-in-1 moisturiser - bought coz it was on sale. They usually cost $26.50, but with this week's offer discount ar $9.68, I got it for $16.90 aje! Mak aku pon jeles. Remember in July 2007 I had reddish sun rashes due to this cream? This time Olay became smarter and made 4 different types for this range. There's Gentle, Gentle with SPF, Normal and Daily moisturiser. I chose Gentle with SPF coz I needed a less harsh formula and I needed sun protection too.

My skin has become more flaky and also has acne marks(blackie spots..eeech) which was why I bought that white box - L'oreal Revitalift White Advanced Whitening Spot and Wrinkle Corrector. According to the box, it promises to treat brown spots and dull complexion so I shall give it a try. Before this, I sneakily used my Maemae's SK-II essence but sceptical that it might've given me face itch, I stopped. Insyallah this product will work...

The tweezers are at $7.90. Ada murah sikit of the same brand but I chose this one coz its wider. So can pluck more hair. Ahaha. And for that Timeout choccie, si Adek amik 3-pack. Lepas dia and Kakak makan their share, tinggal satu. Tapi they both selekeh lah makan. When I got home and bukak my purchases, habis kotak2 ada choccie. Eeeeekkk!!

Sarah has two new hobbies now.

One - she loves smiling and giggling. Sometimes when I see it, its just sooooooo adorable. But, there are also times I wana smack her bumbum lah. Dah 3-4 pagi, minom susu masih ada masa stop suckling and gave her "sexy smile". Cheh!!

Two - sucking her mittens. Her little tongue keeps sticking out. Too free agaknya. That's when she'll place her hand on her mouth(once freed from her kain bedung) and you'll see her syiok je isap mittens. Sampai basah kuyup and when dry, bau fuyooooh! Tak caya tanya bapak dia(whom, in the pic above, was oblivious to her little girl happily sucking mittens). Bapak dia can pengsan when smell her stinko de maio mittens.

What Atin did yesterday, on the first day his mum was warded in the hospital.

Creative? Haha. You should see how he drew his 'sideburns'!

It's been so difficult for me to blog these days.

1) Aku takde laptop. BUT, thanks to my aunt, I got to loan hers for awhile. Giving me the op to visit THE website to apply for housing.

2) Sarah and her antics makes my hands full every single day. DUH.

3) Bila my turn nak use, its either I menyeleweng go other webbies or "somebody" potong my jalan and go visit youtube to watch his Bleach/car vid/P Rod.

4) My hp died. Disconnected from the world like, permanently.

For no. 4, it makes me kinda handicapped. The habit of constantly needing something to press and fidget(with my thumbs) automatically stops(no cold turkey needed). Suddenly no more FB on my fingertips(or did I say thumb? Which means the correct term should be thumbtips!). Which means I can't upload my status asap - boo! No more mobile uploads of Si Pintal(yes, that's Sarah's new nickname - her Daddy's idea) or about the food I'm eating or whatever whatever I'm gonna post. Double boo!

Since the birth of Sarah, like all first-time mums, everyday is a learning journey. I personally find my situation with a baby like a game of solving mysteries. When she cries - kasi susu. Takmo susu, maybe soiled pampy. Pampy clean - maybe she's sleepy nak puting. Tak nak puting - maybe she wants "comfort food", which means, breast milk :) And the whole list goes on!

There are also times called for desperate measures where mum has her hands full with the twins and I really need to go to the bank asap but no one to take care of Sarah. So my solution - bring her along, strapped on a sling with Hyum as my accompainment. I secretly think Sarah enjoys the 'ride' coz she'll fall in deep slumber along the way. Plus, I get to visit the shops and buy my munchies :D

A few days ago, I got bored. And I suddenly was feeling very much nostalgic about my hair in 2007. The blondie streaks I had when I had cut my hair in a short concave bob. Well, I wanted to do the DIY streaks again after 2 years of not dying my hair(tau-tau jelah kenapa kan..wink, wink). So after 1st try using Schwarzkopf with shitty minah-like results, I asked Hyum to buy me Palty instead.

The results, even though NOT really striking, it looked so much better. But to reapply again and again to achieve the results I wanted, I sadly don't have the time. Si Pintal asik bangun-tido, and to do your hair alone is kinda taxing. So after Hyum helped me with my last application, I now look like this:

If I had fed her enough milk, she'll enjoy her bathtime. Cuma Mama cakap, budak ini suka tolak-tolak. Susah kalau nak mandikan dalam besen kecik! Usually during her bathtime, she'll have 2 spectators yg menggeram sebab nak masuk dlm besen as well. So to solve that, once habis mandi je Sarah will be quickly carried into her cot to wear pampy(she loves to pee out of pampy if you aren't fast enough) while Mama will clear the bathwater mess. Kalau lambat, habislah...those two "spectators" sure main air punye!

I'm a mummy! Which explains my absence from blogging since more than a month ago.

Lowdown of my childbirth experience :

4 April

4.40pm : I went for my last prenatal checkup @ Dr Heng with B and Hyum. Masa tu worry gak, tak branak2 plak aku. Dr stretched my cervix and told us "I stretched your pintu rahim. You will give birth within this week, don't worry." She was also going on leave by thursday so she said, "There'll be other doctors then but if you want me to be there for your birth, you give me a call and I can induce you on wednesday."

Ler, induce lagi. I mati-mati do not want to be induced coz I dowana deal with the extra pain; I wanted the pain to come naturally.. B was set about induce coz he's on leave until wednesday. I was still set on NOT being induced.

Taken before my turn. Masih bleh senyum, bleh happy-happy lagi..

15 min later : After sending Hyum home and we we were on the way home to Tampines(along with teh ice and nasi ayam sambal bought from Mr Teh Tarik), I started to feel funny pains. I told B, "I duno if its contractions but I'm kinda having some funny pains.." But wasn't sure if it IS contractions. Merana seh! Nak makan nasi pon tak selera but I ate abit; otherwise baby nak makan apa? By the 4th scoop of nasi forced into my mouth, B made up his mind for us to spend our night in Eunos so that in case I'm in labour, there's someone to take care of me(when he's at work) and the hospital's ten minutes away.

5 April

2am : Frankly I didn't know what to do to stop this 'pain'. Seeing that it MIGHT be contractions that people have been talking about, I took out my hp and timed between each one. At 2am was the worst. While everyone at home were sleeping, there I was with the TV on, sitting on the couch and having 1-2 minute contractions(muka cramp, sudah pasti). I did not go to the hospital yet; who could blame me - Doctor dah cakap 'bleeding and waterbag burst then go hospital', I tot kena tahan lah kan?

12pm : Its only when many hours later at noon, when the doctor's PA called to check up on me, barulah aku tau betapa slenge gak aku. "You having contractions? You better go hospital now, wait you branak at home!" Cepat2 lah aku gi mandi(standing still sambil pegang sink everytime contraction hits me), whereas B can sempat take a nap. My mum plak dah siap rendam 'bunga Siti Fatimah' dalam air. Lambat plak kembangnya tuuuuu. We could actually wait for it to kembang then at 2.30pm(or was it at 3?), we went to the hospital in EK. I warned B to drive s-l-o-w...sakit okayy...

2.45 - 3pm : Many advised us before this not to take the EK should this moment arrive but actually, it was okay cuma I asked B to drive slower. When we reached the hospital, I was taken to the labour room(funniest question asked - 'Are you wearing dentures?' Ya I know its protocol but I still find it funny). After changing into their vest, baring jelah sambil get high on laughing gas(credits to Sab & Didi). Laughing makes you crazy, I swear. I could see stars, blue screen with orange figures and duno what funny weird stuff while on it. But I could still argue with B and talk nonsense(plus making a full list of the bags I want after this) but once contractions come, I'll go silent n stiff. Each contraction got closer and higher, with B following the monitor closely and warning me everytime I'm about to get hit.

I began to request for epidural when I could no longer stand the pain. Had to wait for duno how long til the doctor specializing in epi to arrive. When he finally pokes his needle, I was still high, I could see images and bam! I was unconscious again. The nurses kept on checking to see if the epi has kicked in but every time they ask, my answer would be 'Can still feel pain!'. Tsk, $500 for nothing!

Tuhan jelah yang tahu betapa SAKITNYAAA aku masa nih :( I have to thank my husband though, for his support and patience. Sayaaaang awak.

6pm : Was in and out of consciousness. One minute I am arguing with B about how much pain I'm in and I do not want to have kids after this, the next minute I'm wincing in pain whilst cursing where the eff is my doctor. The midwife came in to check and saw the baby's head already down(ie. I'm in labour, DUH! That's why epi had not worked!!) and called for my doctor in panic. Turns out she had been in the neighbouring rooms, helping fellow patients in labour. (Dalam hati - siak btol, aku kena tunggu lama padahal dia kat sbelah je.) Finally I was told to push. Aku melalak-lalak okeh! I'm not THAT strong. So when the head came out a bit, the doctor used a vacuum(a little suction cap tat fits a newborn's crown) and sucked the little baby out while I pushed. Awhile later, out comes my baby girl, crying and soaked in fluid. I remember B saying something like 'That's our baby B..our baby..' As much as I rasa terharu(doctor placed my baby on my chest as soon as she cuts her cord), I couldn't reli divert my attention as the ginormous pain was still there. Its was only when the cord + placenta + duno wat else were pulled out that I felt better. Baby Sarah(awww..) was placed in a little corner where her weight & measurements were taken then left alone til taken to the nursery. I, on the other hand, was left to rest while I got stitched(yeowch!) then awhile later, wheeled to my ward. I was placed on the 3rd floor and right above the bus stop, so imagine what I could hear whilst in and out of sleep(tapping of ezlink cards, giggles from teenagers waiting for the bus) and on top of that, a loud annoying neighbour from the bed on my left(tis one tak yah elaborate - their whole family freaking annoying).

She's finally OUT! Alhamdulillah...

At this time, dah tak kuasa dah. Soooo relieved baby + cord + placenta are finally OUT and the contractions have stopped. That patch on my chest - stain from baby's head, coz the moment doctor fished out baby, they placed her on my chest to bond. Sadly I couldn't, takleh concentrate sebab masih terlalu sakit..

9+pm : Seeing that I was too tired and has settled in nicely, B left for home and promised to come early the next day. Awhile after he left, I went to bed.

6 April
Dr Heng assessed me in the morning and was told I was recovering well. Baby's paediatrician gave a visit and said the swelling of the baby's head and eyelids have gone down. Her swollen eyelids were due to too much crying(ehh..familiar?? Hehe). The bad news is, she has slight jaundice so we have to return to the doctor's clinic in a week's time.

11am : B arrived with my Aunt just as one of the nurses passed my baby in her little crib.

Awhile later, a nurse and her attendant aided me with breastfeeding. I'd say its enriching yet painful during the initial moments, hahaa! Noy arrived slightly after that during her lunchtime. She brought me gifts frm Krabi(I looove!), some food and magazines. Thanks, love =)

Soon after, my family arrived. Followed by a string of visitors, namely family members and friends. Everyone were anxious to see how Sarah looked like =)

7 April
7.30am : Dr Heng assessed me in the morning(with a nurse this time) and told me I was able to go home that day. Dr Ho, Sarah's paediatrician, also delivered good news whereby Sarah could go home too. Hooray!

10am :
B arrived, all tired and sleepy coz he didn't sleep the night before. He managed to nap while I waited for bfast to arrive(an hour later than the day before...lapar sey!). We took turns taking care of Sarah while eating and watching CSI on AXN. We were told we could go home by noon but because they kept delaying our turn, I was given lunch too. And since my Papa had finally confirmed the correct spelling, we had the time to make her birth cert. Thus, Sarah Farisya is her name :)

2.30pm : Finally we are discharged...wheee!

3pm : Reached Eunos home. Mum, uncle and sis did my old room nicely along with a wooden crib sponsored by Sarah's Tok Ali, Tok Tek and Nek Jeejia.

So that's my detailed encounter of my first childbirth. Sarah was warded for jaundice when she was a week old - after her assesment at Dr Ho's.

Taken on the morning of our appointment. Who knew she'd be warded hours later..?

It was so sad for me and B. We held our tears the whole time she cried in the ward. When we came home, it felt different. We could reli feel her absence. Only God knows how relieved I felt after her condition progressed and she was discharged 2days later.

Last week, my dad did Sarah's Marhaban at our place. It was nice to see all families and friends gather to celebrate the birth of Sarah. Plus many couldn't let go of that little tot! Hehe. She was a darling during the whole procession - she slept all the way and didn't cry at all.

Okay here's my take after my long, malas-nak-explain absence.

I'm touching on my 39th week now. My EDD is tomorrow. My next appointment with Dr Heng is today.

On my last appointment with her on the 28th, she wanted to induce me on the 2nd. I bluntly said 'no' and asked if there were any other options. It was her turn to say 'no'. Darn! Could see she was getin kinda impatient. B asked if within 1 week baby can survive not? Doctor immediately answered 'Choy! Touch wood!'. Ahahaha! But last warning. She said if by today 4.4.11 baby still doesn't grow, we'll take her out. Tsk, menggigil aku. Tapi sekurang-kurangnya I had a week to mentally and spiritually prepare myself. Gigih aku baca Surah Yaasin & Surah Maryam sambil do'a tiap masa untuk permudahkan jalanku utk bersalin dan semoga zuriatku selamat.... Insyallah.

Words can't describe how I feel as a whole. One part - I'm anxious, scared and worried. How will I cope with the pain? Sedangkan blood test pon boleh buat aku terpekik.

why - the reasons

I know I haven't been blogging for so long - only 3 pathtic entries since 2011, for gawd's sake. But seriously,its all because of damn bloody photobucket. Either their site has virus or I have damaged photo files, nobody knows for sure. The images uploaded would look fine but once I embed them into my posts, they instantly change and "freeze" into only one of my photos. WTF?!

Anyway some updates - provided photobucket tak buat prangai lah!!!

And more good news - she said this monday, Paps(together with the agent) will be deciding the tenant who'll be renting the house . Like, FINALLY! Gosh!! Here's hoping for the best. One thing's for sure - I know Maemae's gonnabe the happiest person in the world upon this decision :)

We had brunch at Ya Kun just now. I was craving so bad for it even though I know memang makan tak kenyang. What do you expect from telor dua bijik and dua keping roti kan? But whatever lah..janji ngidamku termakbul! Ho ho ho...

He hated the kicap alot! But to me, I lurve kicap masin..hahaa..

After brunch, it was our first BABY SHOPPING TIME!!!!! WHEEEEEE!!! For first timers like us, we were VERY excited..nyehhhh!

He looooves Nike SB so much.. Remember the pair I bought for the hantaran tray? Well that shoe has become like belachan now so I hope he's happy with this one.

Guess was having a sale so I grabbed them. But the real pressie for me will be revealed in time to come, insyallah :)

My first Koi! See,this shop barely has a queue - which I likeeee!!! I had caramel milk tea which wasn't so fantastic yaar(Yindian accent), but will order the ones Nonoi has suggested. The ones people dubbed as "rasa berlemak". Hmmmmmm.

After our dinner @ town, we returned to the carpark and saw this EK fwen parked kat sbelah. okaylah, we actually ordy saw him waiting in front of us before we left the lot but did not expect him to park right beside us. Coincidentally, this was THE EK he wanted to buy 3yrs back if only it wasn't for the hefty price tag! The colour then was so classy - in Lamborghini green. Happy mummy at 30 weeks. This was taken last week - I'm 31 weeks now and turning 32 weeks in 3days. Okay whatever. I got this prediction that my cutesy-wootsy suka-tendang-my-right-ribs baby will be out by end March. Reason being...her age! You see, if I follow according to the 15 April EDD given by Dr Heng, she's 42 weeks by then, which is...impossible. Whereas by end of March she'll be at 38 weeks, the age where an average baby is born. But whichever date it may be, I pray may Allah protect her and may I have a smooth delivery...ameeen!

I've been very lazy to blog lately..huuuaaaarrrggghhh!!

So what have I been up to? Okay, first...my little kiddo's 7th month snapshot!

She has gained 400+gms since our last visit..hooray! Though Dr said she's behind by 100gms but still, its an improvement! Mummy's diet of 2 eggs everyday did help gain some babyweight. BUT the setback is, the awful, awful heat rash & pimples on my face, chest and back! No matter how much Acne Aid I sememeh on them, they still pop up like nobody's business! Worse..the horrible pain if I accidentally scratched them! Adoiii la... Boo hooo..I want my clear complexion back.. ;(

Ah, we've been spending our weekends at Naynay's new abode. It's finally ready! The flooring(tiles), the lighting, the kitchen cabinets.. The only stuff left would be the kitchen stove and sink(contractors left two lobangs for it..lol!).

It was almost like a picnic everytime we come here...

Me and Dumbo, the stuffed elephant I bought for Atins. You see, there was a supposed toy elephant for him frm Jeejia. But there's this sebok kid ambik balik but at same time try to bait Atins with the elephant but when he wants it, she hides the toy. WTF! Hence, I bought an elephant for him. It's his elephant-craze phase right now. Overused terms by Atins now is "elephaNT", "elephaNT slide" and "elephaNT truNK". Notice the letters in caps - those are pronounced by Atin clearly. Hehe!

reflections of 2010

Reflecting 2010...

So..let's reflect wat I have done for the past 365 days in 2010. Hopefully this'll make me a better person in future and prepare myself for the coming 2011, insyallah :)

January, the beginning of the year.. A 'bestie colleague' got hitched. But I couldn't attend as it fell on my departure date to Genting. But I managed to send her off at the airport to live with her hb & in-laws overseas. Hope she's been coping well. But more of her next time.

Next, was my first wedding anniversary! Unfortunately there wasn't any fireworks celebration(boo!) due to budget constraints. PLUS! Baby was on reservist - for two weeks..! I was all aloney on my owney...! It taught us something too - no money in the world can buy love, just as long as we're together.. (okay tats a bit cliche...whataver lah kan! =P)

Ah, I realized this has been my active year of going trekking..! Marang Trail, Henderson Wave, Sungei Buloh, Alexandra Bridge, HortPark, Zoo, Cityhall has all been conquered. It has been pretty much a fun way to lose all the fats AND sharpen my skills for landscape photography. The only downside: my camera went kaput some months later..and it hasn't even been a year of usage!

Ah yes, it has also been my year full of filling up interview forms, applying countless jobs(even for some that was out of my circle) but have no replies whatsoever. Money was getting dry so I pushed myself to work in fashion retail even though my heart was not set on it - it was all for the money to support my family. It was a good lesson learnt though, not to take money for granted as there are many out there who are in even worse scenarios than me. But that aside, I have been more secure even since switching jobs to work from home. I no longer have to chase the bus and train, work til kaki nak patah & bullied by bitches you call your superiors, walk in rain or shine or decide where to go for lunch. Just a comfy seat, a laptop and invoices accompanies me to what I do for a living. I feel blessed, why..?

Coz alhamdulillah, finally Allah has blessed us with a baby! She came at the right moment, a moment where everything went fine, money enough for both of us and when my job was suitable enough for her welcome. Alhamdullillah. We had been trying for a while with negative results, but the wait was all worthwhile. HE knows better.

Ouh, let's not forget how I managed to have(quote from B) 'the best job in the world'. It started with my move from Eunos. It was a sad goodbye but insyallah in 2 years, we all shall be together again. I miss my nephews the most, watcing them grow, the cute things they do and how they'd manage to outsmart me day by day. But its okay, I will reunite with them next year once I give birth to my little bouncing bundle of joy. I'll be spending my self-declared maternity leave(insyallah countdown starts 8 April - Atin's bday) with my family at sis Naynay's new flat. My Maemae will be helping me take care of the kiddo..and myself, hehe. So looks like little Matin & Qawiy will be having a baby cousin staying over with them for a short while next year..pray hard they don't bully her!

As for B..well..this was the year he bought himself the Civic EK he was dreaming about - it's finally his! Me: I don't like the car coz it's STILL a hatchback(so kena keluar kereta macam tikus) but I like it the most as it's clean and more organized compared to his previous cars(sorry bucuk EG..)

Now what do I hope to have in 2011?

A Gucci bag! (NO, says B).

Okay, for now I am blessed to have what I have right now. All I want for the coming year is for me to be a better wife and insyallah a good mother to my little one. Which also means, I'll have less than 4 months before she arrives! At this point, even her full name is not confirmed yet. Baby Daddy fickle lah. But we'll come up with something, insyallah. Right now, I have to take care of both me & the baby's health. Right now she has been brutally kicking since morning(read: 7am when Daddy goes to work) and that 7am kick(due to lying on my left side..typical!!) hurts! Am surprised there wasn't any bruise :P Well, however active she might be, I hope she's in the best of health.

May Allah bless us all, insyallah. Have a wonderful beginning this 2011.

This is gonnabe my last update of events before I blog about my reflections for the year(which I think, would be written tomorrow..hehehe). Sometimes I'd loooooove(ok, a bit exaggerating) to blog ASAP so there won't be any backlog buttttt...other than being lazy, I'd be: 1)hungry 2)tired(the prenatal symptoms..ohh the backaches! Having one now and it's sooo not cool!) 3)temporarily unavailable(lunch dates..dinner dates..supper dates...shopping dates...nyehhh!!) 4)all of the above.

So I'll start with...lunch dates with my gfs! One with Dee at Swensens and another at Manhattan with Dee and Sabby. Wheee! It would've been better if it was with the whole gang...coz I miss you gals!

Diana craved for this, due to the melted cheese on/under the meatballs! But for this time round she claimed there's lesser cheese...

I had to wait 15-25 minutes for this! End up bila sampai, I was so disappointed and swore not to eat this again. Udang sikit, nasik ciput giler(I think cats also eat bigger servings than this!) and it's so dry..

And our last stop as usual, JCo for their donuts and hot choccie..

Photo op with tummy at 6 months. Our 6th month checkup was done 2 days after this pic was taken. For now(as in today, she's 6.5 months), I think she's 600gms already. She kicks alot. And becomes very territorial when I lie on my left, coz I'll get this huge sock on my waist. Other than that, baby Mumi has shot up 4 kilos. I got a shock seeing that weighing scale! Then again..I get a shock upon seeing my weight on every appointment! Anyhoo..here's what my baby looks like now.

After our gynae checkup, baby Daddy wanna watch movie. We chose Narnia, then went for a quick meal at Asli. I ordered the mee kuah and its superrrrbbbbb...Its $5.50 I think, and portion not much(coz I makan tak kenyang..but then again my appetite increased like hellll..) But anyhoo, it's sedap okay! B asik curik my mee aje. Next time we both gonna order this...and satay. Yummm sedapnyeeee...

The next day we went to Bugis plak. But they so lousy, movie theatre closed damn early. So we dropped by Danny's shop, went to LJS for a meal(itu pon LJS dah nak tutup) then met Danny again to go to Mustafa. Frankly it's been 2 yrs since my last trip there so I was glaaaad Danny brought us there!

What we had. So far, I think I ordered the most typical fattiest food - double quarter pounder, choc milkshake(influenced by their tv ad in the outlet) and cheesy cheese potato. Itu pon lepas makan I masih haus and me & SC can still cikai some of Kak V's chilli. Haha! After the meetup, B fetched me home. I wanna say thank you sooooo much for sending and fetching me on this day. I could've gone here by myself if it weren't for my preggy state. Tau jelah kan, dalam train people rarely give up their seats! Hmmphh!

When we got home. He was excited to try the tshirts and since the M-sized was way too small for him, he asked me to wear instead.

On Xmas Eve was the BBQ party planned for - my bday, Jeejia's bday, Bumbug's birthday, Uckle Homecoming and (on that very day) Naynay & Bumbug's 5th wedding anniversary. All events rolled into one and here we have it - a barbeque!

For my part of the food spread, I ordered the minced cheese popiahs from sis Ain again coz the last time we ordered was 3 boxes, which was simply not enough for 2 people! This time I ordered 10 boxes but fried only 6. Kenapa? Sebab malas nak diri lama-lama sambil menggoreng. Haha! Other than that, there was Maemae's Mee Hokkien and BBQ spread done by our very own tukang bakar..Mr Bakar aka Bumbug aka Bobok! Hahaha...

The next was a day to be a bangla! Ahaha.. Actually it was the day to help Naynay paint her new house.It took us both saturday and sunday to complete. Which was easy, compared to painting the Eunos house where, the living room itself already takes us a week! Plus, there were 8.5 of us who did the painting so it may have helped speed up the process too.. Bobok & Naynay labelled me & B as their "logistics and caterer" coz we'd come slightly later armed with food for all. The house has currently been fully painted and furnished with tiles. So this weekend's mission is to place the lightings in the house and start the move bit by bit. My mum already kanchiong coz so much to pack and she has only done like, 10% of the packing!

I think this pregnancy is making me go crazy over shoes!!! Seriously!!! First, I'll start with the pair I bought just 3 hours ago. Gold flats just like what Uncle Vince used to call me - "puteri kasut emas". Heeheehee.

I happened to stroll into Pretty Fit at C Square, which I overheard from the staff, just opened a week ago. I thought, look-look okay whaaat. Skali mata tersangkut kat sepasang kasut emas yang material dia lembut & sangat-sangat ku berkenan. Anyone who knows me would know I am superfussy when it comes to covered shoes coz it has to be wide at the front and soft(read : no blisters) at the back. Andddd...I found it - in gold! Yayyyy....

Since this pair made me an in-between for 38 and 39, the salesgirl offered a pair of heel grips to make the shoes grip to my heel(and also make the size slightly smaller).

The grips made of soft leather. I purchased them anyway in case I need it, coz it turns out when I got home, I tried them on again and they fit me perfectly. Hmmmm.

Anyway like I said earlier, this pregnancy has made me become a shoe junkie! Look at what I've bought for the the past 2 months.

5 pairs including pink furry slippers on cold nights. Khaki-beige strappies low wedge: bought at Rubi. Gold flats: bought at Pretty Fit just now. Grey faux snakeskin strappies: bought at Mitju less a day before my birthday last month. Red Lee Cooper canvas mary janes: bought at Isetan early last month. Pink furry slippers: 5 bucks at Giant while shopping with Mama, Papa and Hyum last month..hehehe. Ouh fyi, this shoe collection does not count the ones I bought from F21(which I rarely & never used) when I was working there 4mths back. Tsk tsk.

Last weekend was sleepover at Embah-Yaii house. They'll only be moving once Naynay's house dah siap. We had a visit at her place to check out the cement surface renovation done on the floors(which fyi, HDB does for free. Don't get conned ok, coz before this she was quoted 1K for that by this particular contractor when HDB offers this service - for free!)

My nice, nice Nasi Lemak I had last week. Upon knowing the re-opening of Istanbul, apalagi... Budak Peminat Nasi Lemak Istanbul tu pon sanggup pegi the next weekend morning with bini tagging along. I love everything about it especially the crispy sedap ayam BUT not their sambal. Kinda sweet to my taste. But to Budak Peminat Nasi Lemak Istanbul, he claims theirs is the best especially the sambal. Ho hum. Selera masing-masing lah kan? What I can say for sure is, we'll be coming back here for more :D

Product review time! Ah, I'm back and now happily shopping online. Fingers get so itchy when I see a bargain on eBay, so hard to resist from clicking the "Buy It Now" button. Sheesh!! Here are my hauls for the week(sbelom ni tak penah sempat nak update sebab no time at all..heheh).

Introducing my new hobby...colouring my eyelids!

It seems the weirder & bolder colour combo, the more it stands out! Not like I'm gonna go out and wear like that or anything. I've been learning and getting tips from youtube vids from Miss Chievous. She's awesome! Here's one of my favourites - her copy on Dita von Teese's signature look.

I'm sold when she did her eyeliner so intricately. So much that I'm buying gel eyeliner and a superfine brush once my next pay's IN! Oh, and a blending brush and angle brush too..heheh. Check out her other videos too! They're all inspirational makeup looks. She makes them all so easy to do - tapi bila buat sendiri, memang terkial-kial. Oh well, practise makes perfect!

The eyeshadow I'm most thankful for..only at $19.90 for 96 colours. The cheapest I could find coz all blogs/sites are selling it for a whopping(to my standards) $25.90/$28/$29.90. Which was why when I saw this at a bargain, I grabbed as soon as I could! Plus the seller was sooo nice and understanding. She was kinda embarassed we had to drive all the way to Sembawang to collect despite my pregnant stature! Tee hee.

No. 1 - Bath & Body Works 'White Citrus' Body Mist. When sprayed, it smells like my Anna Sui Dolly Girl perfume that I had five years ago(then gave it away to my Aunt Jeeejia coz I couldn't stand the smell after some time). But surprisingly the undertones of this scent smelled nicer..

No. 2 - Victoria's Secret 'Enchanted Apple' Shower Gel. Smells so apple-y and yummy...ah! Reminds me of some kiddie shampoo..L'oreal kiddie shampoo, I think.

No. 3 - Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush body 3-in-1 wash 'Juiced Berry'. This one's my favourite!!! It smells like the fruity-salty bubble gum I had when I was a girl. I couldn't stop smelling it since yesterday..its so heavenly! (This means, am gonna buy more soon..hohohooo..) Ah, and what's good about this is, its a 3-in-1 wash which means it can be used for shower, bubble bath and shampoo! Am soooo gonna buy more of this! It has 3 different scents for this one - Juiced Berry, Appletini and Candy Baby. It's selling out fast(only left Appletini and Candy Baby!) so I better hurry! Hahaa.

Aaaaaaand,I'm not the only one who's crazy about online shopping okay! Baby's at it too! He'll order from Danny(well, usually it's Danny..sometimes its his contacts from his forum) where he'll order online and the next thing I know there'llbe some gigantic metal structure in my room waiting to be fixed. Here's one of the latest he fixed which he found *gasp*, a beauty. Not to me though =P

It's a CF spoiler for our chilli red EK4. He said, the reason why he fell in love with EKs are because of their "nice" spoiler. Hmmmmm. (People always say "the men don't get it" but I think when it comes to their stuff, the women won't get it either.)

Earlier on this same day was my 22nd week scan at Parkway East(formerly known as East Shore). Time to see you again, baby!

Taken before going to the hospital. upon reaching, it took 30min of waiting(alright, we came 30min early), about 20min of scanning and 45min waiting time for the results & scan photos. Once we got the results, we didn't expect to get a sonogram CD full of different angles of our baby, plus a video of her heart beating too! Masyallah.. It gave me this wet, soppy feeling everytime I see it. Alhamdulillah, syukran jazilan.

This is one classic pic. For you guys who KNOW how to read sonograms, well...you can actually see the kiddo kicking me, caught in the act! Actually when she was doing so, I did feel tummy pains. So mystery solved on what caused the pains - brutal kicking seh ni budak!

The day earlier, I went to Parkway with the Les Terribels. I swear, I got so bored with B at HV, leaving poor little me all alone. Nyehehehe!!

The food we had at Banquet - been a long time I've been here! Sigh I miss Eunos and I miss my PP. FYI, both the ayam rice set and the yong tau foo was mine. I HAD to have the yong tau foo coz I craved so much for Enoki mushrooms and baby carrots. So I choose lotsa those while the other add-ons are just "untuk cukup syarat". Hehehe.

It's my burfday! I've turned 28 and I already feel old. Err..I bet I say that every year..coz every year u get older! Sigh. BUT, on the positive side, I got to celebrate this birthday with an active kiddo in tummy who's 5 mths old. Awww.

We had dinner at Hyatt like we always did for the past 2 years..? Yeah. Coz we are BIG FANS of their carrot cake sedap melayang, hence the must to have it every time each one of us has a birthday. (Not sure about next year though..ahaksss).

Some of what we had..which we'd have like, every time we come here! Hehe.

We have grown fatter since we first had our date here...awww how much time flies...

Heck, I even received this look of scrutiny from this 10-year-old girl who walked passed me, noticing this lady with a huge pink balloon and a preggy belly.

How's your Aidiladha? Mine went great! Why? Coz I can now eat my fave foods without the distraction of pregnancy nausea! Being in my second tri is such a blessing now..no more frequent nausea or vomiting. It does happen BUT occasionally.. =P

These two dishes were what I couldn't enjoy last raya(2 months ago) due to awful morning sickness. But now I can enjoy them without the guilt. Hooray!

Last friday was my little bean's fifth month checkup. Affirmative, we're getting a little girl! Looks like Mikki shall have to wait, let his kakak kluar dulu. Nyehehe!!

Dr said she's underweight.......and the mummy's OVERWEIGHT! How can it be?? Dr added it must be coz of my unhealthy junk food diet. So she said "No more junk food, no more teh tarik." At that point, we were bewildered like "how the heck did she know???" And I was told to eat more fish, as in grilled fish. And to Wal, "you make sure she eats one egg every morning." Gulp. Tak gemok ke aku nanti, hari-hari makan telor?? Sigh. But I take it in stride and will change into a better, healthier diet so that my little one will be strong & healthy like her daddy. Why did I say so? Look below.

This is the result of my blood test. Everything's normal EXCEPT that circled portion there. Dr said my immunity is on the low side, so she'll be conducting tests on me again upon giving birth. Uwaaaaa!!!

And this is a slip for my FA scan on 1st Dec. It's the same date as my bro's arrival but thank God this time he's taking Qantas, so his flight's during the evening. Which gives me(oh sorry, us) ample time at the hospital for our routine scan.

So...deeb beeb beeb....what are we gonna name the kiddo? Alot has been asking coz they all know we had prepared a name for a baby boy...but not a girl! Hence, thanks to Similac Mum, the sent me a booklet of baby names. Seriuosly, the internet left me more confused. Anywaaayyy..we have decided to name the baby SR. All will be revealed upon her arrival, okie? ;)

I did some spring cleaning + laundry this morning...when I looked at how neat my bedsheet was, it took me back to the moments I used to live in Eunos. Matin lovesssss newly-spread bedsheet and will instantly bring his truck, bantal bushuks and shushu and happily land on my nicely-made bed..he's always be the first one to "commemorate" the new sheets! Sigh...I miss that little bugger.

It's already November.......my bday month! I have been so busy not updating this blog.. I can't help it. Some days I'm busy with work, some days superbusy with work. It consumes my weekends at times too. Hmmmm. Aside that, the preggy symptoms like Mr Nausea and Abang Muntah that make me just lie down on the bed like a starfish. Oh well..

Hmm..am in my 4th month now. Bumpy is now already visible(Diana was shocked when we met up 2 days ago..tee hee!). All my pants don't fit me(unless I use that Belly Belt..which most of the time, aku malas atau misplace) except for one stretchy treggings from Esprit. I can still fit some clothes(thank God I have alot of empire-cut tops & dresses..a major wardrobe saver instead of buying a totally new wardrobe!) but certain tees are kinda 'short' so it kinda "jongket" once pasts the belly.

My last appointment with Dr H was great. So.......*drum roll*......Dr said since there's no balls in between the legs during the scan, little bean is most likely a GIRL. Well, we expected Mikki right? But now its Mikki's sister instead. So since then, we have been racking up for her name...and insyallah it'll be 'publicised' once she's out. Hehe.

And other than that, within a month or two should be the best time to do baby shopping. I have been recceing too. Baby cots are at a standard price of around $299 and above(google Spring Maternity if interested), baby clothes nak murah gi Geylang tapi nak murah tapi better quality(and brand), try Baby Cotton On.. My fwen Mak Leha told me, as she dresses those on her bebe too! Perkakas lain mcm botol, sterilizer, water heater etc etc will be decided on in time to come.

Sonogram of little bean is here but not in digi format yet, coz her Mak Long pinjam her Mumi's camera, til now belom kasi balik. Uwaaaa!!! Nanti her next appointment on the 19th ada new pic, I'll try my best to upload k. On 26 plak Mumi's bday and 1st Dec plak, little bean's Foetal Abnormality test. Here's hoping for the best, insyallah!!!

3 weeks back, we went to Naynay's flat @ Kallang as she had a reno appointment wif one of our relatives for the new flat. Yang nak jumpa contractor satu orang, yang ikut skali satu army.

We're already in the middle of October and I still haven't updated anything! Too many things happened and with that, I'll just summarize and compact the many2 photos okay..(danggg feelin' nausea coming on..uwarrgh)

Okay! I'll start with my last kopek for raya.

Taken at umah Shidot. There was so much food and only three of us(counting Madam Tuan Rumah). But it was a gooood chit chat session! Hehehe.

And then there's makan sessions. This one's with Diana.

We went to E-hub Fig&O. Then next it was Pastamania and JCo. Pastmania - no photo sebab malas. And also coz we were concentrating on the arcade rather than our makan date. HEH!

And this fro yo's from JCo. 3 bucks worth of fro yo plus one topping. I think Andersons of Denmark offers better-tasting froyo. Coz the yogurt's more creamy(lesser water content...really, I'm serious!) and they 'grind' your two(yes, two) chosen choice of fruits with the froyo. All for $4.80 a cup. Lagi worth it lah kan? So now Diana is set to try Andersons' when we go to PP when Charcos opens. Nyeh..

This makan session's with B. We always keep craving for certain food..for now it has always been Tang Tea and seafood. Juz look at the pix! Hehe.

first gynae op

I forgot to mention about my yesterday's appointment. Hence, started a fresh new entry..hee.

I went to my first gynae preggy appointment yesterday. YES I took the same gynae as Aidot's. Paling dekat and cekap. We had our first ultrasound. Subhanallah...the image of the little kiddo dalam perut made me so..... I duno. Its indescribable. He/She was sommersaulting inside, making one round! Excited agaknya. Or dia lapar? Coz mak dia sempat jamah jambu batu je sebelom tu.

B was there too and it made him teary-eyed to see his baby..we were made to hear his/her heartbeat too. Wow.. and we got to take home his/her first photo -which the Daddy has safely placed on our bedroom mirror. Anyway there was a mix-up. I'm still in my 11-week phase, not yet 12. Miscounting of weeks I think. And I'm due on the 12th, not 5th as previously told by my GP. That means his/her birthdate will be closer to his/her Aunty Hyum's than his cousin Atin's. Hmmmm. Habislah camni. Skali 3 orang birthday April.

We were also explained of the packages for the clinic, optional tests and hospital fees. Memang banyak duit kluar but dont worry sayang, Mummy & Daddy will be putting up a special savings fund for you. Love you ~

Okay it has been a longgg while since I had not updated anything. Heck, not even raya pix! Seriously, the nausea and vomiting had taken so much of my time and mind that the last thing I wana do is blog about all these petty stuff. Nyahahaa!! Okay here goes... First! Raya updates.

In the car from Tampines to Jurong. Every year must take pic-dalam-kreta. This year's our first year in the EK. I like this EK coz its so clean and tak semak unlike his previous cars. Downside - its still a hatchback which means we stil have to stoop and come out like mice from the backseat.

After Jurong, we went to Tampines to visit his nenek. Didn't take any pic(except one..tat one pon lousy shot) coz I was sitting one corner dgn rasa mabuk. Sib baiklah tak muntah! After Tampines, me & B made our way to my Aunt Jeejia house. Yay yay Nenek masak ayam goreng!

I could only eat ayam goreng coz lain semua tasted different on my tongue especially my fave ayam masak merah. Seems like my fave food has now tasted so haywired!

Uncle-Nephew Bonding Time..Ayi suka Uncle. When Naynay and Qawiy rode with us, Papa car passed us with si Atin facing us. He saw and somehow he got a shock. And all the way til we reached the next house, he went "Bye bye Mama...bye bye Qawiy..." in this sad tone. Hehehe!

The week after raya, me & Dee had no raya plans(this year is one hell of a slack raya year..seriously!) so we made plans and went to Marina Barrage!

We had lunch at Food Culture CS first coz I was soooooo hungry. That's Dee's pasta and my Katsudon meal with Dee's fried ebi. Makan macam tak penah makan seh!

At the barrage..waterplay! A good place for si Atins. Confirm dia takmo balik.

Soaking our feet..fun! Jadilah kan..since kita dah tua bangka so takleh nak berendam. LOL!

I was reading my old blog entries from Aug-Sept '09 to recall what I did for raya last year and to see what I may have missed out. THEN! I read this part & freaked out.

"Tapi kalau ditakdirkan next raya aku jadi mak buyung, nampak gaya pakai baju kurung Pahang ler nampaknya...tapi material lace ok! No more songkets or organza!"

Whoa...mulut masin kape!! BUTTTTTT....at least, I can still fit in my supposed baju raya for this year(I made a mini kurung lace. YES, its lace this time round..learnt my lesson from last year, hur hur).. Perut takdelah besar, like my sis Hyum said "it looks like you just had a huge meal".. Ekekekekek... And like every year, we won't be going to much houses. For this time, its due to budget constraints, B's job and my health condition. I get dizzy spells all the time, and the evening sickness - gosh! Apparently our sec 2 Home Ec textbook has fooled us coz there's no such thing as morning sickness..at least to me, coz I only get these symptoms AFTER dinner! WTH! So I can safely say that when they tested us about that in our Home Ec test, there is NO definite answer for morning sickness. HUH!

For some reason, photobucket is lagging today. So I can't post all my raya prep pix. So here's the written updates I can share:

Baju Raya tahun ni boleh muat. I won't be able to conceal much of my perut. Oh, and coz kakak tu terlupa nak pasang my zip as requested, I have to squeeze into the baju. Sib baiklah perut masih kecik.

Muka ada tiga jerawat besar. Hope Kryolan can help conceal. At least the swelling has gone down since 2 days ago.

I made 2 biskut raya. Kuih tat & sarang semut. As much as I made the kuihs, I couldn't really eat them. It's a preggy thing.

I get hungry so fast & so easily. By 7 or 8am, I have my own automatic alarm. B will wake me to tell me he goin work, den tummy rumbles as a sign that somebody's hungry. Huh, a genius at 10 weeks!

For my raya bag, I will be using my Fendi Du Jour Grande afterall. It has stains due to fabric colour transfer. I searched online and there are a variety of remedies suggested for cleaning calf leather. The most eccentric method? Using LKF Axe Oil! I tried but nothing much. I tried my Nivea Slimming Gel, Herbal Essences Raspberry Hair conditioner(smells so yummy!), Cetaphil moisturiser.....in the end my Nivea Cleansing Milk worked but it only got rid like, 30% of the whole stain. So I need leather cleaner as my last DIY resort! If not, to Colourwash @ Ngee Ann City we shall go...booooo...

AH! Many has been asking about the gynae I'm gonna engage. Thing is, I have not engaged anyone yet. I know its kinda late at 10 weeks but in this situation, we won't be able to make an appointment with a gynae yet...Most probably I'm taking the same one as Aidot's. Because of its location and convenience! I wanted Thomson but their gynae's choice of clinic is nowhere near here. As for KKH, not only I dislike their service bt its far too.. So after much thought, I might be going to Dr Heng. Hope everything works out for me & the little one, insyallah!!!!!

So you've all figured out? Good. Kudos to you people. Tapi sorry, tak dapat present.

Last fri's iftar with Dee was good. But during the outing my head managed to absorb drops of acid rain and walla! Mia is now sickly with HUGE headaches, green chendol phlegm and sore throat-turns-to itchy cough. So not cool.

After meeting Dee, we went to collect my new camera I bought on eBay as a treat for myself. YES I have a better camera(yang rosak tu) bu as you can see gue malas nak hantar service. Plak tu warranty lupa nak hantar. Nanti2 lah I hantar...its at some industrial building at Aljunied I think. Jauh & panas terik oiii. Anyhoo...after collecting, we went to MacD coz our booking @ Sakura is at 7.40 - second batch for iftar. Ini menunjukkan betapa semangatnya aku nak makan Sakura seafood jugak!

Got it in black. For $125 only! Jadilah buat raya...for now.

The next day I was supposed to bring Atin to Makcik Ilot's house for her assignment.

The kiddos were given blocks but Matin wasn't interested. So was Play-Doh(Matin attempted to eat it twice.)

After everything ended, we let him play with the trucks.. Which he happily played, arranging nicely on Auntie Ilot's bed. Hehehe. After this was outdoor activity at the playground but Atin kental tak tau main slide. So no need to post pix here yah.

I have to submit my MC and collect my shoes so no choice I HAVE to return to that lahanat place. Grrrr. I miss my colleagues though. I miss Mak, Ira, RaoRao, Mussy, Lyn, Dilah and the others who made me laugh, giggle & snort. But hey look at the bright side,I left and so did many others. Ahaks! So what does it mean? It means its an effed-up place afterall.

OKlah I'll give a tiny clue okeh. These are the medication I have to take PLUS supplements to support my body. Why, go figure! ;)

Ouhhhh!!!! Last week was the first for me to have an outing with my F21 workmates. Brainchild of Ira who really wanted to go to the beach! It rained in the morning but thank god it subsided the moment we finished our mini-picnic meal at Vivo's kiddie playland. Due to the rain, I sampai kelam kabut never bring shades and hat! So by the time we got there, I kinda felt silly without them coz YES it became hot & sunny again!

Lovely morning to start the day - my off day =) It was raining, cooling weather which was soooo nice to sleep late in. Today was my supposed day to go K-ing with Naynay, Khai and another colleague of Nay's but had to be cancelled. Why? Poor Atins has a koons problem and is crying in pain. As soon as I log out, I'll be siap-ing myself and heading to my Eunos house.. Poor boy...

Naynay wanted the lobster bisque so much after the "hampa" Secret Recipe ones. Delifrance's costs $7 but has a generous amount of lobster bits and a huge garlic bread stick. Fyi, I had an allergy after the lobster fiesta. Thank god the swollen-ess went away hours later..

F21 Work Woes

Every Saturday is Styling Challenge Day. A look/theme is giver per group, where we have 10 minutes to scramble to all 4 floors to find the perfect outfit, top to toe. And after that happens, usually items from my level will be passed to me(always bombarded with bags, shoes & sunglasses).

BUT, something unpleasant happened there so we escaped as soon as we finished our meal. We didn't get to lepak last week coz Dee had a date with her brothers to a football match. Like, how cute?! Tee hee. Hope you had a great time "mencuci mata" the angmohs =P

Okay, enough of my kisah sedih from my last post. I have moved on and made my mind take the positive side of the situation. But I miss my Atins soooo badly, nonetheless. I miss him greet me "Aunty...Aunty.." every morning!!!! =(

So. Here I am. I have moved to Tampines, the nice humble abode of B's family. Firstly, I would like to thank every member of the family for the warm welcome for us to live here.. Thank you so much *terharu*. The move was sudden but smooth, lemme tell you. The move, as in, the moving process lah! Pack benda sehari pon tak cukup! So tat sunday ie. hari pindah tu jugak chop2 pack all the remaining stuff into plastic bags(sebab kotak dabis) and then when the guys arrived, tats when the dismantling of katil/gerobok/almari started. By the time we arrive in Tampines - kayu bercalar jgn cakaplah.. Katil - tempat kait bawah headboard pecah but nasib baik B & his dad had a great idea - kotak invoice lama!! So now everyday our heads bersandarkan kotak, tee hee hee. Hmmm..lemme see..for now semua dah kemas into their proper places cuma ada budak ni, barang dia berlambak on the floor patotnye kemas but he kinda "forgot about it"... Haiz...

So what's good in Tampines? Well..for a start, my friends are near! All except Sab that is(who used to live 5 bustops away frm my previous home..boohoo)..BUT, once she lives in Sengkang next year, she'll be near again(hooray!!). Other than that, tempat makan pon dekat jugak(then again same goes for our previous hse).. I guess, if you live in the east, makan memang senang nak dapat rite? What else? Ouh, since living here, I have a family cat too.

That's Fifi. "Should I, shouldn't I. Should I, shouldn't I...?" In the end, Fifi walked away.

Other things that happened during the move...

Adik Kakak aka Les Terribels helped me packed my clothes. It's like 4 boxes and still not enough. They were great! After they left Atins came into the room and saw this hat. He was sooo happy and paraded to his Mama & Bobok to see. He looked soo cute, complete with that cheeky smile!

Dismantling the bed. It wasn't easy! Even Chai the so-called toolbox man got confused. (Fyi the person in the photo dlm baju tido is my mum, not Chai. Mama came in to look how the progress was coz she herself got worried how the guys are gonna dismantle this complicated bed frame..huhuu..)

My final goodbye after we brought everything to our present home. Goodbye Eunos...see you in 2years!

After angkat barang, it's time to give all of us a treat on this boy's tab. We ate @ Alfalah. This boy makan tulang merah, sampai comot semua mulut. He doesn't care how he looked, it's tulang merah! Hahahaa..

Taken soon after. This kitten was from the porch in front of my house; it drowned in the drain so Achap went to rescue it. It was brought back all the way to Tampines and here(picture) was before we left it near this kitty shop. Hope this kitten is well & safe...

Taken @ Swensens. After fetching him from the airport, we went home to wait for Naynay & kids to dress up. Then off we went to Parkway Swensens for a family feast. Atins must've missed me. And he was in lurrrrve with my Macadamia Nut ice cream(pronounced "ekk-kweeemm")

After our lunch(final bill $80+ only coz we had their 1-for-1 promotion), we headed back to Eunos. After B arrived, we went to visit Naynay's flat @ Kallang Vista. Damn, I want a house too! ;(

Two little boys lazing around before bedtime. I got to know, on that day after me & B left, Atins was crying. And his bawling was the sad type, not attention seeking type. He must've missed us so badly...

Two weeks ago was my dinner date @ Carousel with my Gfs! It was so sad Dils, Sab & Ilot couldn't attend.. I got to know we all are makan queens! So now I have more kakis to bring along should I plan for Fullerton choccie buffet..woot!!! Cerita klakar #1 - masa nak gi Orchard, me & Shidot were gonna take bus 518. Tapi dah menceceh kat bus stop, bus jalan pon tak nampak. By the time kita kejar bas, bas dah lalu dah. Adoiiiiiiiiiiii. So last2 naik cab gi sana. Sampai TP bus stop, tak nampak Diana. By the time kena stop tepi road, poor Diana has to walk 3 metres to where the cab was.

Konon nak dye rambut sendiri, jadi bila jumpa kawan-kawan, nampak lagi gempak lah katakan. Last-last buat sembarang, scalp semua colour glaring red. And I only had an hour to go! B dah QC siang-siang, saying its so obvious no matter how or where I part my hair. So nak tak nak, pakai cap lah jawabnye. Tapi the next day kena kerja without cap gak and luckily nobody spotted it...heheheh.

Yesterday I went to meet SC, coz she wanted to pass me the hair straightener I bought from eBay. Thank you Mr Jaslie for helping me buy using your Paypal.

And I'm so lucky for taking the same bus wif SC coz it passes by Simei, so it was such a coincidence! Nenek needed to rest yesterday coz the doc was gona conduct some tests on her today. Hope she'll be okay, insyallah. Due to this, my swimming + jalan-jalan dengan Atin might be cancelled UNLESS I wait for B til his meeting finish later then we all can go makan2 dengan Atins..wheeee..

I have so much to blog...but after the incidents that happened these few days, I suddenly lost taste into reporting stuff..even stuff that made me happy. I seriously have no idea what makes me happy nowadays. I might look fine, work fine but in my cloudy mind, there's a hundred and one questions bugging me, confusing me, and answers which are not something I can think logically into. My heart feels heavy. I look around, eyes wondering, mind thinking "Shit, there's nothig here for me anymore.." Eyes tear up easily and nobody knows. As I do my work, and as I do my chores, tears will well up my eyes.. I'll then try my best to blink them away. All this, nobody knows but me.

Sometimes I wonder, why does it happen to me. I agree, this is all qada' and qadar from Allah. And I know, it might happen sooner or later. I took things for granted. And now, when it comes fast and right at me, I cannot lift this bala' anymore. Masyallah. Ya Allah, tetapkanlah imanku. Cekalkan lah hatiku, berilah aku semangat untuk menghadapi dugaanMU ini. Aku tidak terdaya lagi. Aku hanya hambamu yang lemah. Ya Allah, ringankan bebanku ini. Tunjukkan aku jalan yang terbaik buatku, yang di redhai olehMU...

It's gonabe a month soon since I worked here.. Frankly I'm happy I have at least, some income to pay off my bills. But I do not plan to stay here before confirmation. Coz I found out in order for you to tender(after confirmed), you are to serve them for 6 months. WTF?! And I thought SSC's revamped HR rule of serving two months was already outrageous!

The rage now - my headband! Hahaha...

This is how its normally worn by me - here with Qawiy cutey sulky baby. I need this thing to push away all the hair from my face. Ever since it was cut short, the problem got so much worse! Hence, the headband.

This is how he's like when using the lappy(actually, lappy pinjam..haha). Must wear headband. Coz he says, I would always wear it when I use the lappy so he must do the same. I know, I also don't see the logic.

And the headband also doubles as his eyemask should he need some sleep! Bravo, bravo.

Last sunday was my lepak date with Dee. I ajak her go to Botak Favourites - mine & B's fave hangout now @ Tang Tea. We just can't get enuff of their western stuff, and since Dee's a cheese fanatic like me, its best we get together there too!

I bought the bedak coz I'm left with a day's supply. My previous loose powders were from Hues.sg and Bourjois. Bourjois mahal($36) whereas for Hues, its $16.90 excluding $7 registered mail. Plus I have to wait 2-4 days for its delivery, which is kind of a long wait. So I bought the cheap $12.90 Silkygirl loose powder instead. I used to use this but after getting funny red patches, I discontinued. If I'm not wrong, that was 3 years ago! Try viewing my archives to confirm kalau rajin ok =P

As for the Silkygirl nail polish remover, let's just say I have a mani-pedi to remove. And due to the tight flats I wear for work, it left blood clots on BOTH of my big toes! It's yucky, I tell you. It's also why I did not post any pics of it here..coz its so gross...70% of the nail is black & blue!

Ahh okay..first...the tarts! Remember I mentioned abt the pineapple tarts have reached my darling brother? He has collected it after one week(!!!) and uploaded the pic in FB. Here it is.

He skyped us that nite and showed the state of the tarts. In his words, "they look like cocaine and nipples...but tastes like home." Boy, am I glad to hear that! Poor boy. Well, here's wishing his safety return next month. He's planning to fly down to visit us, even if its for less than a month. He missed us all so much!

Ouhh Ouhhh, I posted about Botak Favourites on the last entry remember? Well, it seems like we kept coming back for more!! We are such suckers for good American food, which is cheap & good and opens till late! Heheheh.

So...if the news had travelled superfast, YES. I am already working. Good side - I now have some income to pay my bills. Bad side - working 7hrs weekdays and 8hrs weekends is supertiring. Reason being it's in retail line, which means standing for the whole time. Sakit giler siak kaki. That's why I'll rest and literally sleep with my feet up every single nite. I totally salute you all who have been working shift whose jobs involve a whole lot of standing. Kudos to my auntie and uncle who are nurses and my bro-inlaw who's in charge @ the Checkpoint!

Ahh, the pics I owe you people. Nearly 3 weeks ago, I made kuih tat for my kesian brother in Brisbane. I can now gladly say they have reached him - but sadly he has no time to pick them up @ the post office coz he's busy with exams now & the place is a surburb away... =( Mum made alot of tarts(well..we used around a kilo of flour and two blocks of butter..) So the number of tarts could fit....

Ayi in a pubjabi suit!! Haha..nahhh his bajus are all small..He can fit his abang's but all are either used by abang or are just too old(ie. terlalu buruk macam kain buruk!)!

Ayi eats ice cream! He got to eat it first coz his abang was still sleeping. Ayi's different from Atin when eating ice cream, coz tis little fella knows how to use his tongue! Pandai lah Auntie's pet!

Yang abang dia yg ni plak dapat makan onli 15 minutes later..hahaha. He calls 'em "Esh shweeeem."

On Friday, I had packed 35pcx5 pieces of kuitat for my baby brother to eat in Aussie. Kesian dia, he saw my status and said "Can you FedEx me some? Thanks." Looks like the boy was deprived, so I made for him. Do the math 35x5 ok, coz aku tak terkira. All I know is, the tarts fitted perfectly in the container. And when I placed scott towels to "mampatkan" the isi, the tarts stayed perfect even after shaking! Nyehehe, genius. So I went to Speedpost with Diana to have them sent to his address in St Lucia. Hope the tarts reach you, baby bro!

We went to buy snacks after dealing at Speedpost. Here are all our food - not much this time. I was mostly craving for pies.

Pie & breadsticks for chilli dip from Pie Kia. I love this Pie Kia guy so much coz the pies are amazing!! My fave now is their Mexican pie. B says its "ok-ok" but I found its taste more robust than the Ham&Cheese I bought from them before.

We sat at the stools opposite our school after being harassed indirectly by this crazy ahpek. Oh, and Diana's $4 went missing. Poor girl!

Our school neighbourhood area - the place we'd go everyday before and after school to buy titbits and knick knacks. I remember buying Marigold chocolate milk and chocolate/sweetcorn bun for breakfast here everyday!

On Sunday, me & B went to PP to get his stuff (aluminium pipes & foam) and also some groceries. Alas his pipes were not found so off we went for a nip to PS - been a long time since we went to town! GOSHHH!!!

Did I mention my beloved Fujifilm camera has gone K-A-P-U-T? Worse, it was supposedly on warranty BUT....I did not post the form within 14 days of purchase! Bloody HELLLL...so I'm cameraless till God knows when... *never felt so naked til now*

So...on tuesday, I went to Marina Barrage with B. Armed with camera, konon nak buat photoshoot. Sampai sana, camera taknak 'on' pon! WTH! So in the end, I used my lousy E63 camera yang tak seberape tu.

The barrage was a nice place to go...gazebo has many lizards. But overall the horrible was about to come. Upon exiting to the ECP, it was bangla+chinaland! The traffic had no rules, no government, nothing - GOD! To you peeps - don't go to Marina Barrage until the Marina Sands Resorts completes!

On thursday was Matin's 3rd birthday! We planned a simple celebration but with full of goodies - homemade Sheperd's Pie by me, tatsuda chicken nuggets, potato chips, coke on ice anddddd....birthday cake from Eatzi Gourmet.

I went to hang out with cuzzie Saza the next day. Our outing at PRP was really cool - a mini picnic with nice breeze and just the right amount of rain. With great food, great company & so much to catch up on, tis picnic was a real success! =P

Saturday morning! Time for some wild hair-cutting as Ajah promised!

All 6 inches of hair, grown since 2008 sebab nak kawin punye pasal. Bye bye unhealthy permed hair. The hairdresser thought it was so sayang to chop all off! She tied the hair into a ponytail & used an electric shaver andd zzzzzzupppp...!!!

With Adek after our hair was done. We did ours at our neighbourhood shop - the only shop that was honest enough to place a signboard with their price list. The hairdreseer took some pics of my hair after this too, but I think the photo looked kinda geeky.

I was singing Maya by Awie. The guy in the clip was busy playing with lightbulbs while singing feeling-feeling gitu. WTH! Spoil konsentrasiku.

We had a high time, singing for 3 hours with homemade lemon tea & mango juice that did not taste as they were supposed to. But hey, we both paid for a mere $16, what's there to complain?!

After Bedok, we headed to Tampines to buy our dinner-supper. Here - the many many plastic bags full of food but only eaten by two.

Saturday was my "lepak day" with D. (PS: Any gfs reading this, we are more than happy if you can join us!!) We went to MadJack @ Simpang. We took the bus even though it was only two bus stops away frm the mrt. Coz it was raining, though not heavy. Nanti tak glamour rambut mak, so tidaaaak. LOL! It's the second time I tried MadJack. First time, I went to the one @ Duke's Road when they had just openend this franchise in S'pore. But masa tu(I think I blogged about it) I forgot my camera! Hp batt plak mati!! So I ate but couldn't take any pix. Luckily this time I'm armed with a better camera AND had a better dining experience =)

And it was the 'Hantu Raya' episode that featured a number of Msian actors/actresses, one of them Tiz Zaqyah. It was sooo scary, especially when we saw the dreadlocks hantu!! Sheeeeshh...

Along the road..maluuu sak! Coz we held this pose for ten seconds to wait for the timer...and cars that pass us surely think we're crazy...and I ended up laughing sebab malu so last-last, ni gambar very shaky. Eeeeek!!

Semalam, went to follow Naynay & family to "see" her upcoming new flat. YESH, my sis has finally got her own flat! It's at River Vista. It's 85% done(by the looks of it), and she hopes to move in soon.

Nice isn't it? By the river, cantik je permandangan.. My Papa says one day if he's at her place, he plans to sit at the balcony facing the river in the afternoon while sipping tea and watching the scenery and sunset. Macam-macam btol bapak aku.

I am tired of my long, long hair. Seriously. I need a haircut. A cheap one, at that. So I wanna try Snip Avenue. $8.50 je kan? Just as long as they can snip 3 inches off this hair which I've kept prior to my wedding...which means....since 2 years ago! Gee...times flies huh. Manalah tak rimasss.

I practically wear this headband everyday. Usually its to hold my hair up wen I cleanse my face or wen I get tired having hair ALL OVER ME. Sheeesh. In this pic, can see my red jerawat + scars. At this stage, I naaak visit the derm but after last week seeing the queue at Niks, I think I'll hold off til when I really get money. Sape2 yg pernah gi Niks should know lah queue sana macam mana...sampai kul 9 pagi pon queue numbers all snapped up! Huhhh... So its Dermalogica DIY til I really have $$$$....

See? Its so long, can be made into armpit hair already. A clear indication its way too long - for me! I always do this to test if the hair's long or too long - you can refer to my December 2006 entry coz I did the same thing...hohoho!

He has now become quite attached to me. Maybe coz Auntie is only person(besides his Embah) who is fun to play with. He'll talk to me, lepak with me with his susu + bantals in tow + toy cars on my bed. Bila makan plak, he will pop his head/face/mouth and go "nak agiii..". Then again, he's always hungry & thirsty, he never stops eating. Tapi masih tak gemok2. Funneee..

See what I mean by him getting attached? He selit je between us masa dalam bilik. Mak dia panggil suruh tido, he run away, tak nak masuk bilik dia.

Sorrylah, camera Fuji tu yang pakai battery AA tu dah weak lah..and that camera swallows 4 AAs at one go..so..in this zaman gawat, I can only afford to buy it later coz Hubby just gave me some duit jajan $$$$. Wheee~ for the first time I am blogging on my comfy queen bed with the absence of my darling husband. No no, am not stressing on his absence but, blogging on bed! YESH MESH, I pinjam-ed my bestest auntie in the whole wide world's lappy. YES we are pathetic without one, period! Hence, thanks auntie!! I went around to buy face stuff a day before my interview at *that hotel*. Jangan botherlah nak tanya sebab til now dorang tak call despite the mamak manager saying "We'll call you by tuesday or wednesday for you to get your schedule, pass, etc.." But whatever, shall channel my "anger" to the shopping I did..alah sikit je but was enough to make me contented.

Face wash and BB cream by Bio Essence. Let me tell you,personally Bio-Essence is lousy. At least, that's how the effect is to me and my sister lah. Sis Naynay bought their Deep Pollen Cleansing Milk - no idea why she switched brands coz previously, we'd share Nivea Cleansing Milk. This Deep pollen one caused her to have little rash beads on her face. For me, it caused a really burning sensation on my face...adoooiii! So I stopped. But for the two products above - my review. The facewash, I kinda suspected it promoted my face redness so I tried to cut back. The BB cream - makes me look so tepong gomak. But it was essential during interviews to make my face more "presentable".

Done by Embah Barber at the bathroom this afternoon. Can see some flaws(maybe he kept moving around). This boy has been soooooooo active lately. Mum was sooo shocked when realized he was missing yesterday after me & B left for Bugis. By the time he was 'found', he showed his Embah his hand which was swollen. We all suspected he must've touched the clothes iron.

Okay after long time not blogging - let's start! But I will be missing on the report of yesterday's meal with Dee. We went cheesecake-ing @ Jeewa yesterday, but unfortunately the camera's at home! I promise to have the full report + pics next entry okay =)

Now..remember my course on the second week @ Bukit Timah? Well, the lessons were very informative especially by Mr Shah. Heck, I learnt about Real Estate too you know! So anyhooo, yang tak bestnya, ada "typical makciks" yang tanya soalan bonus. I mean c'mon lah, how can I reveal so much when I don't even know you? Baru 20 minit dalam kelas, dah kena tanya bertubi-tubi. WTF kan?!

Anyhooo, here it is - the venue of the place taken on my last day. I love the old buildings here - classic beauty. Hope the Government won't tear them down!

Last tuesday, me and Dee went to Sungei Buloh!!!! Let me tell you betapa seksanya to go there on a weekday! Reason being the usual 925 bus does not stop at the entrance. It stops at the reservoir park - tats at least 5 bus stops away. When Dee asked the bus driver, he said "15 minutes walk". Hape kejadah tu??! We walked for nearly 30-40 minutes! Plak tu, the area was soooo deserted except for the occasional passing of vehicles. Well, on the other side, it was a great time to do camwhoring! With all the greenery, desertion and fresh air - an unusual experience.

CSP - Fun Way of Learning Customer Service

I have finally completed CSP on Friday. CSP stands for Customer Service Professional. And why am I applying this, should anyone ask? Well, with my creative background, I also thought its best to upgrade(or should I say, add-on) my skills so that I can open up to more jobs, not just creative or teaching industry. Actually I realized teaching IS also a service industry as you are providing a service to the students, aside from public speaking almost everyday.

Have you come across people who've not seen for soooo long, and suddenly they need you help and you have no choice but to do so no matter how much you don't want to?

That's the thought I kinda have in my head right now. On one hand you really loathe at the thought of helping this person or persons whose 'batang hidung pon dah bertahun tak nampak'. But on the other hand, I still have empathy and won't resort to returning the act of that person/(s). I just hope those parties I'm referring to would wake up and realize hey, these people are doing you a favour. Show some respect lah!

My mind and body are tired! It's all thanks to the course that I've been attending since monday, which will end this friday. (Oh my, it sounds so near!)

About the course, well...let's just say it helps me brush up my mindset and see customer service in a new perspective. Plus, it helps me upgrade my skills so I can design AND also able to work in the frontline. For the classes...it kinda reminds me of SSC, where your frens come from all walks of life, young and old. And the lessons? Fun and I admit, I love doing what I do best - being creative! Today I danced for our presentation, and had a hand at banqueting. Tomorrow will be more. Ahh well, too tired to write anything else lah. Will upload the pix should I take any as the week comes. For now, I'm so tired & I need sleep!

Oh my gawwwd, I must be gettin old or something.. After I posted my last entry, I realized I forgot to put up about my zoo trip the day before! Aiyamakkkk... So now that I remember, here it is, my entry. Sorry folks. Particularly, the zoo "participants"! Heheh.

So..thanks to SC, we got to go the Zoo for F-R-E-E! Thanks very mucho my dear, heheh. The day started with meeting at 10am, followed by taking bus 138 to our destination.

After almost half of the zoo covered, SC lapar punye pasal so we went to Rainforest Kidzworld. Yes, she was the happiest person when we reached this place.

Our KFC meal. I became "suddenly wiser" by opting salad instead of fries. Haha.

Comparing the price of wet tissues we purchased. SC wins, hands down.

Other than a KFC, there's also a Ben & Jerry's, a water playground, dry playground(for those aged 6 & above - which we qualify) and a section for farm animals, mainly goats, horses and ponies.

After eating & having fun at the Kidzworld, we set off to finish the rest of the zoo. And of course, have fun taking pics of ourselves. Heheh.

This is the otter that was "Sc's friend". Why? Coz she dropped her brollie into its cage. This otter looked at SC and went "Nek! Nek!" for God knows how long. Probably to say "Oi, payung tu taknak ke? Kau taknak, aku ambik!" The otter actually did go to the pink brollie, bit it and ran away, leaving its curious friends tailing behind him. We quickly went to ask one of the zookeepers for help. Kang tercocok, lagi niaya.

What's with the long absence? Well...I was so caught up with many activities tis week, and even that's not complete coz I still have tomorrow! *Balas dendam sebelom interview mode*

So.. what have I been up to? Hmm..to start with, my shopping! I bought this from hues.sg. They sell mineral makeup, healthy for skin as it doesn't clog pores. A bonus for me as it doesn't irritate skin too!

Ermm..you might ask 'Eh how Diana got into the picture?' - well, I had to meet her for dinner to return her marvelous 32-piece colour eyeshadow set! I lurrrrve that and wish to have one of my own. As you know, I lurrrrve the colour gold. Hence, gold slippers! Hehe, comfy at that. I didn't care having to travel all the way to the end of the country to collect them coz the seller sold me for $25 only. I saw the same sold at NewUrbanMale - terkejut gue tengok their price tag!

I went trekking with Diana on one of the CNY holidays. Boring lah. So apa lagi, kan =)

Third & Final stop - East Coast Park...coz I was craving for bbq chicken for dinner! Yummy!!! PS: Ni craving bukan pasal preggers, okeh. Tapi sebab tengok banyak sangat katun Upin & Ipin masa dorang beli and makan ayam goreng. Especially scene kat bazar ramadan tu. The ayam panggang nampak macam the ones at ECP lah tu!

That family in front was giggling when Diana passed them with a plate full of wings.. Coz the portion was too huge for two people, maybe? Oh who cares, dah kita memang pelahap. He he he.

KFC Breakfast virgin! OKlah, not exactly. Coz I had it before but that was like 8 - 10 donkey years agooo.. Plus it was kinda bad coz the porridge was made with uncooked, I repeat, uncooked egg. Geli kan? But my experience just now was better...maybe coz I didn't eat the porridge? :P

Their bfast platter. Egg - was not given salt & pepper(kena ask eh?) Chicken - obviously its the OR Fillet burger patty. Hashbrown - best. Scone - lagi best! Sebab they gave us maple syrup to eat it with, tak macam Popeyes. They used to give maple syrup with their biscuit(tats like, 8 donkey years ago also) but now they give jam. Eckkk. But the good thing about KFC's scone is, its crispy and tastes lovely with maple syrup. Ouh ouhhh yummy!

KFC Porridge & Platter. Auntie Jeejia had the porridge, sampai habis dia makan. She finished my hashbrown and chicken fillet too. Overall I'll rate 8/10 for KFC bfast.

KFC now offers Portugese Egg Tarts! They cost $1.30 each. I'd say its nice and crispy.

Ahh wats tis? Its a sideline job B took from his army fwen.

He made the oranges and pumpkins(fwen gave tutorial beforehand)while I did the details for leaves & pumpkin vines. He made a tidy sum! Hehehehe. I hid the baskets from the two boys by covering with my pants...if not habislah kena bongkar!

Sunday was our first wedding anniversary!

The sight that welcomed me the morning I woke up to our first year as husband and wife. Aaahhh..the sight of a new year - our matching eyeglasses, bought 2 weeks before THE day =)

The night - where he had to return to his smelly camp. Boohoo! Tido sorang lagilah for one week. Nak celebrate pon takleh, so he promised we'll go on a date once he gets home. Smelly! I miss awak!!

I'm used to wearing his tshirts when i miss him, especially this smelly DC tshirt. But look! Genius Mia has made into a pretty girlie dress! Muka je tak nampak genius.

I conquered the Henderson Wave! I know it's just a bridge, for God's sake. But the trekking up there is stairs, stairs and more stairs. Poor Ian, berpeluh-peluh naik all the way up.

I promised to blog abt the things before I last left for Genting in my last entry, rite? Okie here goes! :)

We went to watch Sherlock Holmes 2 weeks back. Mak aih, the only tix left are the 9pm ones, and we reached there at 5+! BOREDDDD to the core..

Auntie Jeejia bought me this @ Giant. I wanted my hair red for my vacation. B sort of figured it out coz he said "Dahlah you, ni nak dye rambut mesti sebab nak prasan jambu dengan kawan you, macamlah I tak tau.." Urrrrghh...kita suka melawa plak?!

DIY dye is such a chore!!!!! Bilik pon ber-stain dan berserak!!!!!

Yesterday I made Churros. Yes! One of the favourite snacks eaten during lunch or balik time after sloughing off at RELC 5 years ago. (Tak caya, view my posts dari 2005). Sedap! Dari Churros World. But kedai tu dah jadi SweeTalk, so I have no idea mana lagi jual churros with many delicious flavours! Two weeks ago I went to watch Sherlock Holmes with B @ Iluma, ada ke patut the snack bar sell $3+ for a churro, plak tu have to wait 20 minutes! Well, fret no more. Mia the Wife is here to cook! Below, the churros recipe I got from foodnetwork.com.

Ingredients

Vegetable or olive oil, for frying
1 cup water
4 ounces butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup all purpose flour
3 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Chocolate Dunking Sauce, recipe follows

Directions

Prepare to fry the churros by heating 1 to 1 1/2 inches oil in a deep pan to 360 degrees F.

To make churro dough, heat water, butter and salt to rolling boil in 3-quart saucepan; stir in flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball, about 1 minute; remove from the heat. Beat eggs all at once; continue beating until smooth and then add to saucepan while stirring mixture.

Spoon mixture into a piping tube with large star tip. Squeeze 4-inch strips of dough into hot oil. Fry 3 or 4 strips at a time until golden brown, turning once, about 2 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels. Mix the sugar and cinnamon. Roll churros in the cinnamon sugar. Serve with Chocolate Dunking Sauce.

Tis is my outcome. For mine, I didn't add in cinnamon sugar(coz we don't have any). For chocolate sauce, I used the melted Belgian Chocolate truffles my darrrling brother brought from Aussie last month. Tasted HEA-VEN-LYYY... I also used Butterscotch syrup(right) but it clearly wasn't a favourite as Atin & Ayi kept sucking on the churro whenever there's chocolate sauce on it!

Feeling down and sooooo gloomy.

One : My smelly laki is on reservist. For two weeks. Worse, tis sunday is our first wedding anniversary as hubby & wifey but he has to return to camp tat very evening. Not that I'm bummed about the whole celebration thing, as we both have come up with the solution of celebrating it as soon as his whole army affair ends. What I'm actually bummed about is missing his presence. Wow. Really, marriage does wonders to you, ya'know? Coz I'm used to the routine of him coming home, entering the kitchen while I'm cooking. So when I was cooking just now, I'd hear familiar footsteps, only to realize it's not him coz he's stuck in one of the Sg army jungles. Now, what's worse is I have to sleep alone. Guess what, I never felt tis lonely and scared since we got married! Sigh, maybe I am sooo dependent? It's the longest separation since we got married. The army is sooo not forgiving.

Two : Pimples, HUGE ones, are growing on each side of my cheeks. Must've grown due to the unhygienic routine during travelling. Or the skipping of B&H pills for 4 days. I want them to go away!!! Urgh. Worse part, the dermalogica clearing wash tinggal sikit, only left enough for one day! Arrrgh..maybe I can try ask Shahidah if she can spare me some... *heh* I can't afford to buy for the time being due to his reservist period..

Klah gotta try & sleep now....my splitting headache + swollen gums is getin worse. Arrrgggh. Why are dentist fees so expensive nowadays...?! I think I'll watch Phineas & Ferb to distract myself and help me sleep... Ya I know, of all cartoons kan? Yan nye pasal lah ni.

I have something I'd like to share with you all. The story began when Maemae has finished up all the bottles of SK-II Treatment Essence I bought her. She kept bugging me coz the essence made her skin much more moist, supple and looks great in makeup. So to avoid being nagged again after 2 days in a row, I went to search on yahoo, hoping that OTHER than my Dermalogica searches(guilty as charged....heh), I might be lucky and come across SK-II too. And voila! Behold, the website called Best Buy World.

Iskkk, I juz realized frm my last post...I haven't wished you all Happy New Year...soooo.......Happy New Year! ..And terima kaseh kerana sudi meng-visit ini blog dan sudi memberikan sokongan.. I oso understand orang2 kepo yg suka visit tis blog...aaahh well like I said, terima kaseh sebab sudi meng-visit...ekekekkkk!! A big shoutout to all 'silent readers' yg sudi baca tapi tak tag apa-apa tapi bila bersua, tahu aje updates terkini, hihiii.... =)

Okeh back to my entry. Yesterday, my mum needs to urgently renew her passport(I need it by 7 days tau, Yan.. - she told my sis) so she went wif Hyum(yes, the Yan she was referring to) while I'm left to be a surrogate mummy to Ayi. Atin followed Yaii to the bank, tats why I'm left to take care of only one kiddo. Even though its only been for two hours, but why why of all the time in the world must you poo-poo now..???!!! So..no choice, aku kena buat. Eeeiii..not a likeable experience I must say, and the stinko de maio left me wanting to puke rite there. Hence I sprayed dettol scent neutralizer many many times, tat the little kiddo was entertained by the spraying sound. So memang tak hairanlah belum rezeki dapat anak, God knows best lah kan? :) Tu pon ada aje kata-kata sumbang from some people tanya bila nak ada anak. Please lah.

Lepas poo-poo cleanup, its mandi time! Lepas mandi, tabur banyak bedak as possible mcm tepong komak.

Last week, we had a little jalan-jalan trip to my auntie's house. Could see the kiddos wanted to go out(well..juz one and his name is Atin) so Naynay brought them(and me as official stroller-pusher) to Aunt Jeejia's house. Hooray!

Road to recovery!!!!!

Face healing, slowly.....taking its time. I notice something though. Everytime I go running, new spots will appear that very night. Its slowing down the recovery process and ruining my chances. So.... it's fitness or face. I go for the latter. So will pause my regime til face heals completely.

Tis shows tat face has cleared(by 50%....its 50% more to go!!!) so confidence has soared, juz a bit. Before tis, nak kluar pon malu. Dengan muka gini? Iskkk. I'm only hoping it'll recover fast. It's Boobie wedding and Genting vacation next week - wooohooohooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just finished my regular jog @ BRP with the twins. We hung out at the floating bay before & after the run. Cool! BUT, it makes your head spinnnnn... why? Well, it's a floating bay, so when there's waves, it just bobs up & down! Kinda like being in a ferry..I hate it! Nonetheless....

Apologies for the bacin quality..had to use my hp camera lah kan (which dingdong would bring bulky camera for jogging, rite..??)

I went to MacD with Atin after a strange craving for MacD breakkie! But coz I was held back, we reached Mac at 11..which means, no breakkie. So we opted for lunch lah. No choice kan! The counter staff lady was extra helpful, coz she(without question) carried my tray for me, took for me napkins, sauces etc and made sure I get to sit comfortably with a kid at hand. Wow! The perks of having a kid. But my turn, not yet lah! I was mistaken for his mum though, coz this auntie happened to pass by..and saw Atin looked so cute with his hat. Shyly, I replied to the auntie(sambil kontrol ayu), "Nolah...I'm the auntie."

Went to B's neighbour's wedding last week. At the same venue where he had his reception on our wedding. Boy did time fly fast. In a month, we're gonna celebrate our first anniversary - despite him being on reservist! *sob sob* The wedding reception at his neighbours' sure sparked memories...nice, gooey ones :)

We got this pretty cake too as the berkat. I love how life-like the leaves looked!

Tadi I made extra effort for my bedding - ironed my bedsheet, comforter & all pillowcases. No idea why this nesting instinct kicked in, since I don't have a bundle of joy to release into this world..hmmmm...

And as usual, everytime I spread on a new bedsheet, a boy by the name of Atin aka Atan aka Abdul Matan aka Aji will "drop by" and test how comfy it is. Always the first montot to test try. Eeeeeeiii!!!

I have been doing so much 'homework' lately. I've never been so hardworking like tis, especially in school! Hahaa! Well anyway, I found out something.

That weird red patch on my cheeks, the ones that had nothing to do with my acne? Those have a name. They're called rosacea (pronounced ro-zay-sha). Sounds fascinating. But how looks is quite the opposite. I've been battling it ever since that 'sun spots incident'(see Jul/Aug '07 archives, Sentosa entry). My GP said it's caused by the sun, and the redness should go away. It didn't. So I disguised it everytime by using foundation, and added another dollop when my acne started to show too. They'd appear in funny patches on my cheeks, which made me quite conscious when I'm out at the pool or beach as they'd appear as soon as it gets hot. You may catagorize mine as mild though coz I've seen much more horrible cases in rosacea.org. Tak caya, go to the webby & tengok bahagian images. Terperanjat beruk gue.

So...time to search for rosacea treatment then. Back to doing my so-called homework! =)

I received my Dermalogica samples package yesterday. Only God knows how RELIEVED I am, after waiting more than a week for it! Tis is the 2nd time I've ordered from this same seller. On my 1st time, it took a week. This time round, I had to wait for more than 8 days. I wonder why....? I was always promised 'item takes 2-3 days to reach you...'

I order MediBac range + Hydrating masque, many thanks to daaarrrrling Shahidah! U see, we pimply pengantins of '09 had(and still having) the same probs, so why not share tips, kan kan kan? She went for Dermalogica treatments prior to her wedding & it worked, so no harm trying. And guess what? Baru sehari pakai, muka takde jerawat baru! And the present pimples are healing, drying up fast. YEzZA!! Mia - 1, Pimples - 0. Hopefuli it'll remain this way =) Alhamdulillah, syukur kepada Allah.

The only prob now is, the scarring. It's terrible, really. Dark ugly acne scars. In malay, tompok hitam. No choice la but to use concealer foundation. Other than that, perap je diri kat umah... Muka tgh hodoh! But, but...I especially lurrrrve the MediBac mattifier. It's made of organic silicones and wen applied, your face has no trace of oil at all. Smooth & matte, WOW!!! My fave product of '09, indefinitely.

adult acne

Having pimples suck. And I know why. Coz I'm having adult acne. There, I've said it, admitted it! It sucks!!

I used to think I'd never NEVER get acne. I escaped having it in my teen yrs - I'd occasionally get it, but it was like, 2 tiny spots at maximum. Other than that, my face was cleannnn...which made my elder sis kinda fed up coz she had the total opposite. To the extent that I called her "Pizza Face". So what went wrong?

I did my research. There are cases where tis lady got thru teenagehood without the agony from pimples - but had full-blown acne two months before her wedding and stayed in that acneic condition til today! Such coincidence or what?! I've been having mine since 3-4 months before my wedding and it planned to stay that way til now. Like, whaaaatttt?? I spent hundreds on trips to my GP and dermatologists, but it never helped! Remember my post about having no makeup on(entry from October I think) - believe it or not, that was the only period where my face was pimple-free!

I gave up after my derm's medicine, Isotrexin, has finished. I used to apply it with Differin but once Isotrexin finished, Differin wasn't so powerful. I tried Origins Spot treatment next, but it got worse and took long. Shahidot(the pengantin baru who also had same prob as me come wedding day) tried Dermalogica, spending hundreds on them. She said it worked so..hey, who knows it'll work on me too? :) Here's wishful thinking.

One thing I've read about adult acne, it has caused many side effects including depression, low self-esteem etc. I can say it has affected me too. Sapelah nak kluar dgn muka tompok macam ni?

I love Iluma. Did I tell ya all? He/She is my new best friend. Coz me & B have vowed to go there for our cinema fix. Convenient location & not much of a crowd too. We love it!

We went to watch Ninja Assassin with smally-eyed Rain in it. Full of gore, hence the M18 rating. I even spotted the small girl from Sesame Street from that movie. Heheh. Tulah dia, tak keje lama sangat. Jadilah camni, hafal semua kiddie shows that the little ones watch.
